Jet lag. If you are going to a destination with a different time zone, you will be more susceptible to jet lag. Though it is not This is why it should be prevented by doing exercises, having a healthy diet and sufficient rest and sleep even before your scheduled trip. Avoid drinking caffeine and alcohols, instead drink a lot of water.
Insect bites. This is something which cannot be prevented by going through a vaccination. Most common is to be bitten by mosquitoes which can lead to serious illnesses. This is why you need to protect yourself by using mosquito repellant. See to it that you follow the directions on how it is applied. If you suspect that your destination may have a possible breeding place for mosquitoes, wear long sleeves and long pants. You should also beware of bed bugs.
Sunburn. This can be bothersome and uncomfortable. It is necessary that you carry the best sunscreen; especially if you are headed to a beach vacation. Avoid going out where the is at its hottest and wear clothes that will not directly exposed your skin to the sun. You can also wear hats and scarfs.
Unsafe water and food. If you are not careful, you may easily acquire stomach upset, diarrhea or other more serious diseases. Make sure that what you drink is bottled water, especially if you are in a third world country where some areas do not have a safe water supply. Refrain from eating uncooked foods, especially sea foods and other any food that is unfamiliar to you.
